The FC Euro Tours Kitzbühel , shortly FC Kitzbühel is an Austrian football club from the municipality of Kitzbühel in Kitzbühel in Tyrol founded and was the 1930th Since the 2017/18 season, the first men's team has been back in the third-class Regionalliga West , the second men's team in the (seventh-class) District League East of Tyrol. There are also a number of children's and youth teams as well as a team of the old men .

history

The club was founded in 1930 as the Kitzbüheler Sportclub (KSC) . After the end of the war and the Allied ban on sports clubs in 1945, the club was re-established on March 4, 1947 and played in the Tyrolean league for a long time . Famous personalities such as Toni Sailer , Christian Pravda and Hansi Hinterseer have already played for FC Kitzbühel. The figurehead is currently the Austrian national player Lukas Hinterseer trained by FC Kitzbühel .

On June 18, 2014, FC Kitzbühel was promoted to the Regionalliga West as champions of the UPC Tirol League . With the championship title in the UPC Tyrol League and the entry into the Tyrolean Cup final , the 2013/14 season was the most successful in the club's history. The 5th place in the Regionalliga West ( season 2014/15 ) was also outstanding. The Austrian record cup winner FK Austria Wien was a guest in the ÖFB Cup . This game was lost 5-0 in front of over 2000 spectators. In the 2015/16 season, the team made it into the Tyrolean Cup final. This game against the superior champions of the Regionalliga West, WSG Wattens , was 1: 1 after 90 minutes and was only lost on penalties. After this season , FC Kitzbühel had to return to the UPC Tyrol League after two years of membership in the regional league.

In the 2016/17 season , FC Kitzbühel managed to return to the Regionalliga West. Again they were in the cup final and again they only lost on penalties, this time against SV Wörgl.

In the ÖFB Cup , the club lost to the LASK Bundesliga team just 0: 1 with a deflected free kick in the 86th minute of the game. With the abolition of the Regionalliga West , the Kitzbühlers will play in the Regionalliga Tirol from the 2019/20 season.
