Simon Zangerl (born January 28, 1990 in Zams ) is an Austrian football player .

Career

The native Tyrolean began his career at SV Landeck in the municipality of the same name . From 2005 he played in the BNZ Tirol . From the 2008/09 season he was active for the amateur team of FC Wacker Innsbruck . He made his debut against SC Kundl on August 23, 2008. With the amateurs he was promoted to the Regionalliga West . Zangerl contributed 13 goals. Furthermore, he was in the final of the TFV Cup in June 2009 , which was lost, however, 1: 2 against SC Schwaz . After a year and a half for Innsbruck in the regional league, where he scored 10 goals in 35 appearances, he moved to WSG Wattens in the winter of 2011 . Simon Zangerl quickly became a regular at the Wattenern. In 2011/12 he was top scorer with 23 goals and champion with the club. In the relegation against SV Horn, however, the club clearly lost 1: 5 and 0: 4. Two seasons later he was again, with 29 goals, the top scorer in the league.

For the 2014/15 season he moved back to FC Wacker Innsbruck in the first division . There he could not prevail, however (one goal in 18 games). Zangerl moved back to WSG Wattens after one season. There he was able to score in eleven consecutive games in autumn and score 19 goals in 15 games.

For the 2016/17 season he moved to Spain to the third division Atlético Baleares . After a season in Spain, he returned to Austria for the 2017/18 season, where he joined the WSG Wattens, which is now second-rate, for the third time. For the 2018/19 season he moved to the sixth class SV Landeck.
