After he scored five goals in 19 youth games for the 2006/07 season, he remained without scoring in 22 games over the entire 2007/08 season. With the following season 2008/09, his goal quality increased again, with the trained midfielder contributed eight goals in 24 games. Grgić made his first appearances in adult football during his youth.

Club career

The then 16-year-old made his debut in adult football on October 20, 2007, when he was used in a championship game of ASC Rapid Kapfenberg , which at that time was still represented in the seventh-class regional league Mürz . In the 3: 4 away defeat against SC Parschlug he was on the pitch from the start and was replaced by Maximilian Debelak in the 72nd minute of the game. Until the end of October he was used in a total of three consecutive championship games, otherwise he was exclusively active in the club's youngsters for the entire season. With his three league appearances, he also had a share in the championship title, which the team won at the end of the season by eleven points ahead of SV Hinterberg and SV Breitenau .

After he was only in the youth teams in use, Grgić came back in late August 2008 in the Rapid Kapfenberg squad . At first only as a substitute player without an assignment, he celebrated his comeback in green and white on August 30th when he won the 2-0 away win over SV Scheifling / St. Lorenzen replaced his team mate Andreas Ehmann in the second half, who received a yellow card in the 60th minute and scored the goal to make it 2-0 just eight minutes later. Over the entire season, the midfielder made 20 championship appearances and one goal. He also came on for his first appearance in the Styrian regional league on May 20, 2009, when he was substituted on for Mark Schranz in the 7-0 away defeat against the amateurs of the GAK in the 70th minute. On June 5, he was on the bench one more time in a 3-0 home defeat against SC Fürstenfeld , but was not used.

For the autumn season 2009/10 Grgić worked out a regular place in the farm team of the national league team with play in the sixth-class lower division North B and was used in all 13 games of the autumn round and scored a goal. Due to the good performance that he brought at ASC Rapid Kapfenberg , he was again placed in the squad of the national league team in the spring of 2009/10. He made his comeback on March 20, 2010, when he came onto the pitch for Stefan Erkinger in the 0-0 home game against SC Liezen from the second half of the game . So far (May 1, 2010) Grgić has made six appearances in the Styrian national league.

On April 30, 2010, the 18-year-old made his professional debut when he was in the starting line-up of the Kapfenberg Bundesliga team in the away match against SK Rapid Wien and was only replaced by Michael Tieber in the 60th minute of the game . After it was up to 92nd minute 3: 3 in the game, the guests from Kapfenberg lost after two late goals in the end with 3: 5.
