Stefan Erkinger (born September 1, 1981 in Lienz ) is an Austrian football player on the position of midfielder .

Career

Erkinger began his career at ASV Lienz in East Tyrol . He later moved to SV Rapid Lienz , the larger club in the East Tyrolean capital. He came to Grazer AK via FC Nussdorf / Debant, also in the Lienz district . In 2004 he came into the first team squad, but could not prevail there and was awarded to Kapfenberger SV . In 2008 he made promotion to the Bundesliga with the Falken . Erkinger made his debut in the top class on July 9, 2008 against LASK Linz . He was replaced in the 54th minute by Herbert Wieger . His first Bundesliga goal was on August 2, 2008 against SK Rapid Wien with a head.

After seven years with Obersteirern , Erkinger moved to SK Austria Klagenfurt in the summer of 2012 .
