Herbert "Mucki" Wieger (born February 7, 1972 in Linz ) is an Austrian football player in the position of a striker . He is currently active at SV Thörl .

Career

Wieger began his career at First Vienna FC in 1894 before moving to Steyr for SK Vorwärts Steyr , with whom he was promoted to the Bundesliga in 1990. He also achieved this success with the Grazer AK 1995, the FC Admira Wacker Mödling 2000 and the Kapfenberger SV in 2008.

At KSV, in addition to his role as a striker, he also held the position of sports director and vice-captain of the team. After the 2008/09 season , Wieger ended his active career as a football player, but continued his career as a sports director. Wieger has also been the head of the academy in Kapfenberg since May 2009. Shortly before the start of the 2009/10 season , he announced that he would continue his career, although he would be content with short stints. He also helped out the KSV amateurs as a striker in the 2nd Kapfenberg team.

At the end of the 2011/12 season, Wieger ended his active career and then switched to the position of assistant coach with the KSV amateurs.

From July 2013 there was a "da capo" by playing for the lower class Styrian club SVA Kindberg , from July 2015 he moved within the Styrian association to SC Bruck / Mur in the lower division north. In January 2017 it became known that "Mucki" would join SV Thörl from the Oberliga Nord at the age of 44 .
