Samba d'Or

The Samba d'Or (Golden Samba) has been an annual award of the Sambafoot association since 2008 . This award honors the best Brazilian footballer playing in Europe .

The winner of the Samba d'Or is chosen by soccer fans with an internet vote , by former Brazilian soccer stars like Cafu or Jorginho and by the Sambafoot association itself. It is also the Sambafoot association that first makes a pre-selection of 30 players who have distinguished themselves in particular due to their sporting achievements in the respective calendar year.
