Marcel Wendelin

Marcel Wendelin (born June 14, 1939 in Seebergen , Thuringia ) is a former German athlete .

In the 1950s , Wendelin, who lives in Dörnigheim , became active in the Hanau gymnastics community. In 1957, together with other members of the Hanau gymnastics community, he won the 4 x 100 meter relay at the German youth championships. Two years later, Wendelin became German junior champion over 200 meters in 1959 and thus qualified for participation in the 1960 Olympic Games in Rome . As a member of the all-German team , he competed there in the 200-meter competition .
