Miquel Soler Sararols (born March 16, 1965 in Girona ) is a former Spanish soccer player and last briefly coach of RCD Mallorca in 2015 .
Career
society
Soler made his professional debut in the 1983/84 season with Espanyol Barcelona and developed into an important player after his loan to CE l'Hospitalet . In his fourth season he reached 3rd place with his club in the Spanish league and the finals of the UEFA Cup , in which he and his team lost to Bayer 04 Leverkusen .
In the 1988/89 season Soler moved to neighbor FC Barcelona , where he won the European Cup Winners' Cup in his first season . In the 1991/92 season he moved to Atlético Madrid , but returned to Barcelona in the following season.
After two seasons with Sevilla FC, Soler moved to Real Madrid in 1995 . At the age of 33 he signed his last contract with RCD Mallorca , where he played for another five years and even won the Copa del Rey again. At the age of 38, he ended his playing career with 12 goals in 504 games, which means sixth place in the record player table of the Primera División.
National team
Soler completed nine international matches for the Spanish national soccer team from 1987 to 1991 . He made his debut in the qualifier for the European Championship in 1988 on April 29, 1987 in Bucharest in the 3-1 defeat against Romania .
Coaching career
From 2011 on, Soler was a coach at RCD Mallorca B. After the dismissal of Valeri Karpin , Soler was promoted to head coach of the club's first team in 2015. But after 18 league games, his contract was not renewed at the end of the season and he has been without a new club since then.
