The CE l'Hospitalet is a Spanish football club from the city of L'Hospitalet de Llobregat , Catalonia , Spain . The club, founded in 1957, plays in the Tercera División for the 2019/20 season .
history
The beginnings
The club CE l'Hospitalet, which comes from the city of L'Hospitalet de Llobregat , was founded on July 7, 1957. The association results from the amalgamation of three local associations (UD Hospitalet, CD Santa Eulàlia and CF Hércules), which together wanted to make the leap out of insignificance. The first president was the Spaniard Domingo Peiró Ribas. Just six years after the club was founded, the Catalans were able to make the promotion to the Segunda División perfect, where they made their debut in 1963/64. Overall, the club played in three seasons in Spain's second division.
Current
Miguel García del Valle has been president of the club, which has 400 members, since 1994. Since its inception, the club has always been overshadowed by the major Catalan clubs, especially from the neighboring metropolis of Barcelona . After falling into the Tercera División in the meantime, the club has set itself the goal of returning to the Segunda División .
