Faxe Kommune has been a municipality in the Sjælland region in Denmark since the Danish administrative reform on January 1, 2007 . It is 404.90 km² and was created by the merger of the municipalities Fakse and Rønnede in Storstrøms Amt and Haslev in Vestsjællands Amt . The administration is located in Haslev Town Hall .
