Haslev is a place on the Danish island of Zealand . Since the municipal reform in January 2007 , it has been the seat of the administration of the municipality of Faxe in the Sjælland region and has 11,973 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2020). Until December 2006, Haslev was the administrative center of the now dissolved Haslev municipality . Haslev is one of the largest places in Denmark that never received city rights.
Haslev is located around 20 km southeast of Ringsted , 23 km southwest of Køge and 25 km northeast of Næstved .
