Præstø Amt (named after the city of Præstø ) was one of the offices in Denmark at that time until the Danish municipal reform on April 1, 1970 . The office was created in 1750 by amalgamating Tryggevælde Amt and Vordingborg Amt . In 1803 Møn Amt was added. In 1970, Maribo Amt and Præstø Amt were merged to form Storstrøms Amt , which was opened up in the Sjælland region as part of the 2007 municipal reform .
