Præstø is a Danish town in the municipality of Vordingborg in the Sjælland region with 3814 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2020). The Præstø Næb peninsula extends to the east .
Præstø was first mentioned in 1353 and received town charter in 1403. Before the municipal reform in 2007 , Præstø was the seat of the municipality of the same name in Storstrøm municipality in the south of the island of Sjælland . The community extended over an area of around 107 km² and had 7608 inhabitants (2005).
