Vordingborg Kommune is a Danish municipality on the islands of Zealand and Møn . It was created on January 1, 2007 in the course of local government reform by merging the “old” Vordingborg municipality with the previous municipalities of Langebæk , Møn and Præstø , all in Storstrøms Amt .

Vordingborg Municipality has a total population of 45,566 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2020) and an area of ​​619.60 km². It is part of the Sjælland region . The seat of the administration is in Vordingborg .

Langdysser Valdemar Plads is located in the middle of Vintersbølle Skov (forest), south of Nyråd.
