Svinø Sogn (until October 1, 2010: Svinø Kirkedistrikt ( German: church district ) in Køng Sogn ) is a parish municipality ( Danish : Sogn ) in the south of the island of Sjælland in southern Denmark .

198 inhabitants live in the parish (as of January 1, 2020). In the parish is the church “Svinø Kirke”.

history

Until 1970 Køng Sogn belonged to Harde Hammer Herred in what was then Præstø Amt , then to Vordingborg Kommune in Storstrøms Amt , which was merged into the “new” Vordingborg Municipality in the Sjælland region on January 1, 2007 as part of the local government reform .
