Kalvehave Sogn ( German: Kalbsmeer ) is a parish municipality ( Danish : Sogn ) in the extreme southeast of the island of Sjælland in southern Denmark . Until 1970 it belonged to Harde Bårse Herred in what was then Præstø Amt , then to Langebæk Municipality in Storstrøms Amt , which was merged into Vordingborg Municipality in the Sjælland region as part of the municipal reform on January 1, 2007 .
2007 residents live in the parish, 771 of them in the parish village of Gammel Kalvehave and 593 in Kalvehave (as of January 1, 2020). The church "Kalvehave Kirke" is located in the parish. The offshore island of Langø also belongs to it .
Neighboring communities are Stensby Sogn in the west, Øster Egesborg Sogn in the north- west and Mern Sogn in the north . The municipality is connected to the Sogn footbridge on the island of Møn by a bridge.
