Sværdborg Sogn is a parish municipality ( Danish : Sogn ) in the south of the island of Sjælland in southern Denmark . Until 1970 she belonged to Harde Hammer Herred in what was then Præstø Amt , then to Vordingborg Kommune in Storstrøms Amt , which was merged into the “new” Vordingborg Municipality in the Sjælland region on January 1, 2007 as part of the local government reform .

1020 inhabitants live in the parish (as of January 1, 2020). In the parish is the church "Sværdborg Kirke".

Neighboring communities are in the north-west Køng Sogn , in the north Lundby Sogn , in the east Udby Sogn , in the south-east Ørslev Sogn and in the south Kastrup Sogn .
