Nyord Sogn is a parish municipality ( Danish : Sogn ) on the island of Nyord near the island of Møn in southern Denmark . In addition to the island of Nyord, the parish also includes smaller islands off the coast to the north. Until 1970 she belonged to Harde Mønbo Herred in what was then Præstø Amt , then to Møn Kommune in Storstrøms Amt , which became part of Vordingborg Municipality in the Sjælland region on January 1, 2007 as part of the municipal reform .

The island, and thus the parish, is connected to the Sogn footbridge on the island of Møn by a dam .
