Bogø Sogn is a parish municipality ( Danish : Sogn ) in southern Denmark , which consists of the islands of Bogø and Farø in Storstrømmen . Until 1970 she belonged to Harde Mønbo Herred in what was then Præstø Amt , then to Møn Kommune in Storstrøms Amt , which became part of Vordingborg Municipality in the Sjælland region on January 1, 2007 as part of the municipal reform .
1190 inhabitants live in the parish, 950 of them in the village of Bogø By (as of January 1, 2020). In the parish is the church "Bogø Kirke".
The islands have been linked by a dam since 1979. The island of Farø in the west is connected by the Farøbroerne ( German: Farøbrücken ) to the north with Vordingborg Sogn on the island of Sjælland and to the south with Gundslev Sogn on the island of Falster in the neighboring Guldborgsund municipality . The eastern island of Bogø has been connected to the Fanefjord Sogn on the island of Møn by another dam since 1943 .
