København's Office (before 1970)
København's office (named after the Danish capital København, German : Copenhagen ) was one of the offices in Denmark at that time until the Danish municipal reform on April 1, 1970 . It remained unchanged during the reforms of 1793, only in 1800 was part of Harde Ølstykke Herred in the north-west of the administrative area assigned to the Frederiksborg Office .
The office thus consisted of two Harden:
In 1808 the Roskilde office with the four Harden became
dissolved and assigned to the København office.
With the municipal reform in 1970, the København Kommune and Frederiksberg Kommune became non-office municipalities, Roskilde Amt again became an independent office (in slightly different boundaries compared to 1808) and the remaining area of the office became the “new” Københavns Amt . The office was the only one that was downsized by this local reform.
