Maribo Office

Maribo Amt (named after the city of Maribo ) was one of the offices in Denmark at that time until the Danish municipal reform on April 1, 1970 . The office comprised the islands of Lolland and Falster and was created in 1803 by amalgamating Maribo Amt, Halsted Amt , Ålholm Amt and Nykøbing Amt . In 1970, Maribo Amt and Præstø Amt were merged to form Storstrøms Amt , which was opened up in the Sjælland region as part of the 2007 municipal reform .
