Svendborg Office (named after the city of Svendborg ) was one of the offices in Denmark at that time until the Danish municipal reform on April 1, 1970 . The office was created in 1793 by merging Nyborg Amt and Tranekær Amt . In 1970, Svendborg Amt and Odense Amt were merged to form Fyns Amt , which was opened up in the Syddanmark region as part of the 2007 municipal reform .

The office consisted of seven Harden ( Danish Herred ):

However, Ærø Herred only came from the Duchy of Schleswig to the Danish Kingdom and thus to the Svendborg office in connection with the Peace of Vienna of 1864 .
