Sønder Dalby Sogn is a parish municipality ( Danish : Sogn ) on the island of Sjælland in southern Denmark . Until 1970 she belonged to Harde Fakse Herred in what was then Præstø Amt , then to Rønnede Kommune in Storstrøms Amt , which was merged into Faxe Kommune in the Sjælland region as part of the municipal reform on January 1, 2007 .

2932 inhabitants live in the parish, 2235 of them in the parish village of Dalby (as of January 1, 2020).

Neighboring municipalities are in the northeast Tureby Sogn , in the east Karise Sogn , in the south Faxe Sogn , Øster Egede Sogn and Kongsted Sogn , in the southwest Ulse Sogn , in the west Haslev Sogn and in the northwest Freerslev Sogn .
