Fax Kirke

Faxe Sogn is a parish municipality ( Danish : Sogn ) on the island of Sjælland in southern Denmark . Until 1970 she belonged to Harde Fakse Herred in what was then Præstø Amt , then to Fakse Kommune in Storstrøms Amt , which was merged into Faxe Kommune in the Sjælland region as part of the municipal reform on January 1, 2007 .

4,910 inhabitants live in the parish, 4,165 of them in the Faxe community center (as of January 1, 2020). The church "Faxe Kirke" is located in the parish.

Neighboring communities are in the northwest Øster Egede Sogn , in the northeast Karise Sogn , in the east Alslev Sogn , in the southeast Hylleholt Sogn , in the south Roholte Sogn and in the west Kongsted Sogn .
