Oriol Lozano Farrán (born May 23, 1981 in Sudanell near Lleida ) is a Spanish football player .
Player career
UE Lleida
The native Catalan Oriol Lozano started his career as a footballer at UE Lleida . He played with the Catalans for three years in the Segunda División , making his debut at the age of 17. He was then committed by the first division club Villarreal , who loaned him to the lower class team of CD Onda . After only one season his move to Villarreal failed and so he returned for the 2002/03 season to UE Lleida, which had meanwhile been relegated to the Segunda Division B.
Return as a professional
After that year, another Catalan team, the CE l'Hospitalet, went to . When Oriol then moved to the B-Team of Racing Santander in the Tercera División in early 2004 , his career as a professional footballer seemed to be over. But after half a season he was appointed to the first team, where he was regularly used as a central defender from 2004.
