Stefan Savic (born January 9, 1994 in Salzburg ) is an Austrian football player in the position of midfielder .
Career
society
Stefan Savic started playing football at Lieferinger SV in the Liefering district of Salzburg at the age of seven . In 2005, FC Red Bull Salzburg became aware of him and brought him to their junior team. He played for the Bulls for the BNZ team and made his debut for the second team at the age of 16.
After Ricardo Moniz took over the coaching position for the fighting team in April 2011, Savic immediately became aware of Savic and had him train with the first team. In the Europa League qualifier against Liepajas Metalurgs , he sat on the Salzburg bench for the first time before he made his Bundesliga debut on August 21, 2011 in the game against SK Sturm Graz . He was in the starting line-up and was replaced by Christoph Leitgeb at halftime .
For the 2012/13 season it was awarded to FC Liefering , the farm team of FC Red Bull Salzburg. With the Lieferingern he managed to move up to the first division and shortly thereafter turned down a contract extension to move to the Netherlands for SC Heerenveen . The move, which was believed to be safe, was broken up, although Savic denied the entire preparation at Heerenveen. As a result, a commitment to SC Cambuur also failed . The reason for this was the training compensation for Red Bull, which Cambuur did not want to afford. After half a year without a club, he returned to Liefering in January 2014, where he received a contract that ran until June 2015.
With them he finished third in the first season in the first division. After a year at FC Liefering, he switched to LASK during the winter break of the 2014/15 season . In the 2014/15 season he made a total of 34 second division appearances, he played 20 games for Liefering and 14 for LASK.
After half a year in Upper Austria, Savic moved to Croatia for the 2015/16 season for NK Slaven Belupo . In his one and a half years with Slaven Belupo he came to 55 appearances in the 1st HNL , in which he scored five goals. In January 2017 he moved to Roda JC Kerkrade in the Netherlands .
After he had not played in the Eredivisie in his six months in the Netherlands , he moved to Slovenia for the 2017/18 season to NK Olimpija Ljubljana . In his first season in Slovenia he was able to become champions with Olimpija Ljubljana. After three seasons in Slovenia, in which he made 104 appearances in the 1st SNL , he left Ljubljana after the 2019/20 season. For the season 2020/21 he moved to Poland to Wisla Krakow , where he received a running until June 2022 contract.
