Zdeněk Ondrášek (born December 22, 1988 in Strakonice , Czechoslovakia ) is a Czech football player .

Career

Ondrášek began playing football at Banik Stříbro and in 2004 moved to TJ Blatná from the town of the same name , 19 kilometers north of his birthplace. For the 2005/06 season he was committed by Dynamo Budweis for their youth department. In 2006 he moved up to the second team, for which he scored seven goals in 36 league games by 2008. During this time he was used once in the first team and so came to his debut in the Gambrinus Liga , the top division in Czech football.

From January 2009 he was eligible to play for the second division club FC Zenit Čáslav through a loan deal . Under coach Miroslav Koubek he played 14 point games, scored four goals and thus contributed to the sporting promotion to second in the table.

After returning to Budweis, he developed into a regular player and was the club's top scorer with ten goals in the 2010/11 season . In the following season he shone as a regular goalscorer, but in the spring of 2012 he moved on loan to the Norwegian first division club Tromsø IL . After he had been successful here in the first half of the season with eight goals, the club took him under permanent contract in July until the end of 2015. For the 2016/17 season he was signed by the Polish first division club Wisła Krakau . There he scored 21 goals in a total of 69 games. In January 2019 he switched to Major League Soccer for FC Dallas .

National team

In 2011 he wore the national jersey of his country of birth three times for the Czech U-21 team .
