Paweł Łukasz Brożek [ ˈpavɛw ˈbrɔʒɛk ] (born April 21, 1983 in Kielce ) is a Polish football player .
Club career
The 1.80 m tall and 72 kg striker began his career with the provincial club Polonia Białogon Kielce. After a brief stint at SMS Zabrze , he moved to Wisła Krakau in 1998 at the age of fifteen . In 2000 he played his first league game and the following year he became U18 European champion with Poland. In the following years he was initially unable to secure a regular place and was loaned to Łódzki KS in 2001 and to GKS Kattowitz in 2003 . His nationwide breakthrough did not take place until the 2005/06 season, when he completed 30 league games and scored 13 goals. Since then, Paweł Brożek has been one of the most dangerous and best players in Poland. In January 2011, Paweł Brożek and his brother Piotr were signed by the top Turkish club Trabzonspor . In the Polish Ekstraklasa he played 198 games and scored 86 goals in these. For Trabzonspor Brożek played 19 times in the Turkish Süper Lig and scored 3 goals. For the second half of the 2011/2012 season he was loaned to the Scottish top club Celtic Glasgow . However, he could not assert himself here and only played 3 league games. On August 31, 2012 Paweł Brożek signed a contract with the Spanish second division club Recreativo Huelva . His contract was not renewed after the season. For the 2013/2014 season he moved back to his ex-club Wisła Krakau , where he signed a 1-year contract. Shortly afterwards, his twin brother Piotr also moved to Wisła Krakau. With 133 goals in 323 games in the Polish Ekstraklasa for Wisła, Paweł Brożek is one of the most successful players in the history of Wisła Kraków.
National team
Paweł Brożek went through all Polish national youth teams without exception. In the Polish national team he made his debut on April 27, 2005 against Mexico. Since then, he has played 36 international matches, scoring 8 goals. The then national coach Paweł Janas nominated him in May 2006 for the squad for the 2006 World Cup in Germany , where he was used in all three preliminary round matches. In 2012 he took part in the European Football Championship in Poland and Ukraine , where he made two short appearances in the preliminary round.

He is currently under contract with the Polish first division club Lechia Gdańsk and has already made his debut in the national team. Paweł Brożek has been married to Joanna Bojarska since 2008. And since 2010 he has been the father of a daughter.
