Sylwester Czereszewski (born October 4, 1971 in Gołdap ) is a former Polish football player .

Career

Sylwester Czereszewski came to Stomil Olsztyn (now OKS 1945 Olsztyn ) as a teenager in 1989 , for whom he made his debut in the Ekstraklasa in 1994 . In his first season in the first division, he played all 34 games and scored 7 goals. He played a total of three first division seasons for Stomil Olsztyn before moving to the Polish top club Legia Warszawa in 1997 . With Legia he won all of his titles. 1997/98 was Czereszewski (together with two other players) with 14 goals Polish top scorer . In 2001 he was loaned to the Chinese Club Jiangsu Shuntian for half a year . After returning to Poland, he played for Lech Poznań , Górnik Łęczna and Odra Wodzisław .

Czereszewski played 23 times for the Polish national football team and scored 4 goals. However, he never took part in a European Championship or World Cup.

After the 2005/06 season, the Pole ended his playing career.
