The 1st league in 1952 was the 18th season of the highest Polish men's soccer division . A shortened season was played because of the Summer Olympics in Helsinki. It began on August 17th and ended on November 16, 1952.

The 12 teams were divided into two groups. Each team played against each other twice. The group winners then played out the champions in two games. The last of them each dismounted.
