The 2nd league in 1953 was the fifth season of the second highest Polish men's soccer division. The game was played from March to November 1953.

After the establishment of the 3rd league , the season was carried out on a single track. The 14 clubs played against each other twice on a total of 26 match days. The first two teams rose to the first division , while the last three clubs were relegated.
