The 2nd league in 2006/07 was the 59th season of the second highest Polish men's soccer division. It started on July 28, 2006 and ended on June 9, 2007.

18 teams played against each other twice over a total of 34 match days, divided into a round trip. From the 3rd division were promoted: Stal Stalowa Wola , Odra Opole , Miedź Legnica , Unia Janikowo , ŁKS Browar Łomża and Kmita Zabierzów . As a relegated from the Ekstraklasa, Polonia Warsaw was added.

Zawisza Bydgoszcz withdrew during the winter break and was the first to be relegated. KSZO Ostrowiec Świętokrzyski was transferred to the fourth division as a result of the corruption scandal, Górnik Polkowice to the third division. Miedź Legnica was added as a relegated athlete .

Of the three clubs that fought relegation against relegation, only Unia Janikowo was relegated. Stal Stalowa Wola was able to prevail against it. Kmita Zabierzów profited as a loser, as Pogoń Stettin received no license as a relegated from the Ekstraklasa.
