Mount Zimmerman is a 1010 m high and expansive mountain on the Borchgrevink coast of the East Antarctic Victoria Land . In the eastern Mountaineer Range it rises within the mouths of the Meander Glacier , the Mariner and the Boyer Glaciers . Apart from the steep cliffs on its north flank, the mountain is icy.
The Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names named him in 2005 after the US geologist and oceanographer Herman Beryl Zimmerman, who worked for the National Science Foundation in Antarctica between 1999 and 2005 in various capacities .
