Miedź Legnica (officially Miejski Klub Sportowy Miedź Legnica SA ) is a Polish sports club from the Lower Silesian town of Legnica . The association was founded on July 28, 1971.
Some sports are offered in the club, soccer and handball are particularly successful .
Soccer
The team colors are blue, red and green. In the 1991/92 season , the team from Miedź Legnica was able to win the Polish Football Cup. However, they were just eliminated from the European Cup Winners' Cup in the first round against AS Monaco (0: 1 and 0: 0).
In the 2017/18 season , the club was promoted to the Ekstraklasa, the highest Polish league, for the first time. After only one season, the team went straight back to the second-class first division.
The team plays their home games in the Miejski stadium. It has a capacity of 6,244 seats.

The handball club plays under the name Siódemka Miedź Legnica. The men's team was represented for several seasons between 2004 and 2013 in the top division of Poland, the PGNiG Superliga Mężczyzn . In the 2018/19 season she plays in the PGNiG 1st division.
