Marquitos (real name Marcos García Barreno ; born March 21, 1987 in Sant Antoni de Portmany ) is a Spanish football player who has played for Deportivo Xerez in the Spanish Segunda División since summer 2012 .

Career

Marquitos started his career at the age of 19 with the Spanish first division club Villarreal . He caused a stir with his goals in the 1-0 home win against Real Madrid and in the 2-0 home win against FC Barcelona . In both games he played through and knew how to convince. Due to the fierce competition among the Eastern Spaniards, Marquitos was awarded to the first division competitor Recreativo Huelva for the 2007/08 season . After an average season at Huelva, he returned to Villarreal and was loaned to second division Real Sociedad San Sebastián before the start of the season. There he quickly became a regular player and was used in 38 of 42 league games. After the season he returned to Villarreal, but was not loaned again, but transferred to Real Valladolid free of charge .

The 2009/10 season was not sporty enough. Marquitos was able to score two goals in the three appearances, but was rarely in the starting line-up in the further course of the season and was relegated with the club at the end of the season. In the summer of 2010, he finally returned on loan to Villarreal, where he played in the second team in the Segunda División B is active. After three years in Valladolid, he joined Deportivo Xerez in the summer of 2012 .
