The 2. League 2005/06 was the 58th season of the second highest Polish football division of men. It started on July 29, 2005 and ended on June 10, 2006.

The 18 teams played against each other twice on a total of 34 match days, divided into a round trip. The champion and runner-up were promoted directly to the Ekstraklasa , while the third-placed could advance through the play-offs. The last three clubs relegated directly to the 3rd division , the teams from 12th to 15th played in the relegation against relegation.

Relegated GKS Katowice received no license for the 2nd division and was replaced by Szczakowianka Jaworzno .
