The 1st league in 2011/12 was the 64th season of the second-highest Polish men's soccer division. The season started on July 22, 2011 and ended on May 27, 2012 and a total of eighteen clubs took part in the 2011/12 season.
Relegated from the Ekstraklasa were Arka Gdynia and Polonia Bytom . Newcomers from the third Polish division were Olimpia Elbląg , Wisła Płock , Olimpia Grudziądz and Zawisza Bydgoszcz .
