Pelikan Łowicz is a Polish football club from Łowicz in the Łódź Voivodeship . The club currently plays in the 3rd division , Group 1.

history

The Pelikan Łowicz Association was founded in 1945. After mergers with other associations and renaming, KS Pelikan Łowicz was finally established in 1956. For decades the club played in the lower leagues (mostly the fourth and fifth) before being promoted to the third division in 1991. After a few years in the midfield of the league, the green-whites finished second in the 2005/06 season, but lost in the promotion games against Podbeskidzie Bielsko-Biała (1-1 at home, 5-2 away). A year later, the second place was reached again, but this time the players from Łowicz won 2-0 (home) and 2-3 (away) against Kmita Zabierzów . After only one season in the first division (then still second division), the club was the last to be relegated. After several seasons in the 2nd division, he was relegated to the fourth-class 3rd division, in which they have been playing since 2014.
