Igor Angulo Alboniga (born January 26, 1984 in Bilbao ) is a Spanish football player . Since the 2016/17 season he has played as a striker for the Polish club Górnik Zabrze in the Ekstraklasa . After playing in Spain, France, Cyprus and Greece, he has become one of the best strikers in the Polish league. He played in the U-19, U-20 and also in the U-21 national team of Spain.

life and career

Angula was born in Bilbao and played for Athletic Bilbao from 1996 . He had his first game in the Tercera División in 2002. The first time in the Spanish La Liga he played on March 23, 2003 under coach Jupp Heynckes . From July 2008 to early 2010 he played for Écija Balompié. This was followed by a contract with CD Numancia until 2011.

In July 2006, Angulo was loaned to AS Cannes for one season and played for a foreign team for the first time this season. In July 2011 he signed a contract with Real Unión Irún , where he achieved his best result to date with 13 goals in the following season. From 2013 to 2016 Angulo played for the teams Enosis Neon , Apollon Smyrni and AO Platanias in Cyprus and Greece.

Angulo has been playing with Górnik Zabrze since August 2016. In the Ekstraklasa he was one of the best goalscorers from the start. In his first 2018/19 season, he was the top scorer with 24 goals. His contract with the Polish club is still ongoing
