Kazimierz Kmiecik (born September 19, 1951 in Węgrzce Wielkie near Kraków ) is a former Polish football player .

Kazimierz Kmiecik played from 1968 to 1982 as an attacking midfielder and attacker in the Polish first division at Wisła Krakow . Kmiecik brought it to 304 league games during this time and scored 153 goals. To date, he is the most successful goalscorer in the history of the club. Between 1972 and 1980 he completed 34 international matches for the Polish national football team . In the national team he scored eight goals. In 1972 he became Olympic champion with Poland , took 3rd place at the 1974 World Cup and won the silver medal at the 1976 Olympic Games . In 1982 he was allowed to move to western countries and from 1982 to 1985 he played for AE Larisa in Greece . In 1985 he came to Germany and played for the Stuttgarter Kickers until 1988 . With the Stuttgarter Kickers he reached the final of the DFB-Pokal 1986/87 , where his team lost to Hamburger SV . He ended his career in 1989 with the Offenburger FV . His son Grzegorz Kmiecik (* 1984) currently plays in the first Polish league as an attacker at Wisła Krakow.
