Tomasz "Franek" Frankowski (born August 16, 1974 in Białystok ) is a former Polish football player .

In Poland, Tomasz Frankowski is nicknamed “Kotek”, which means kitten, because of his graceful style of play.

society

He began his career at Jagiellonia Białystok before moving to France in 1993, where he played for a total of four clubs. His greatest success at that time was the UI-Cup victory in 1995 with Racing Strasbourg .

After misunderstandings, Frankowski only became a constant again in Poland near Wisła Krakow . With Wisła Kraków he won five Polish championships in 1999, 2001, 2003, 2004 and 2005, two Polish cups in 2002 and 2003, and a league cup in 2001. He was the best striker in 1999, 2001 and 2005, with 173 games and 115 goals in the Ekstraklasa so far .

From 2005 he tried it again abroad with clubs like FC Elche and Wolverhampton Wanderers . But even here Frankowski could not prevail and so his way into the second Spanish league led to CD Tenerife . There, however, he could not convince either and returned to Wolverhampton. Here the contract was terminated by mutual agreement.

In February 2008 he signed a contract with Chicago Fire and scored 2 goals in 17 games. After he didn't seem happy there either, he returned to Poland to his hometown club Jagiellonia Białystok during the winter break . There he signed a contract for 2 years. In his league debut for Bialystok against Arka Gdynia on February 28, 2009 Frankowski scored two goals for the debut. In his first season he won the Polish Cup and the Polish Supercup with Jagiellonia. These are the only titles the club from eastern Poland has won so far.
