The Jiangsu Suning Football Club ( Chinese 江苏 苏宁 , Pinyin Jiāngsū Sūníng ) is a football club from Nanjing in China .
The club plays in the Chinese Super League , the top division in the country. The club plays its home games at the Nanjing Olympic Sports Center . The club is owned by the Suning Appliance Group, a sister company of the Suning Commerce Group .
Club history
The association was founded in 1958 as the Jiangsu Provincial Team. Since 2000 the association has been called Jiangsu Sainty and was owned by the Sainty group , which was merged into the Guoxin group in 2011 . So the club was called Jiangsu Guoxin-Sainty since 2014. As champions of the 2nd Chinese league, the club rose to the Chinese Super League for the first time in 2008. In 2011 he qualified for the AFC Champions League for the first time with second place in the championship . In 2015 the Chinese FA Cup could be won for the first time. In December 2015, the club was bought by the Suning Commerce Group and renamed "Jiangsu Suning FC".
In addition, there was increased investment in players; In January 2016 it was announced that the club had signed the player Ramires , followed by Alex Teixeira in early February 2016 . The duo was completed by the former Brazilian international Jô . In the summer transfer window, the Colombian Roger Martínez was also signed. It was also Hong Jeong-Ho FC Augsburg committed.
