Alex Teixeira Santos (born January 6, 1990 in Duque de Caxias ) is a Brazilian football player . The attacking midfielder is under contract with Jiangsu Suning .

Career

Teixeira began his professional career in 2008 at CR Vasco da Gama , where he had a contract until 2013 with a fixed transfer fee of R $ 100 million (39 million euros).

Teixeira made his debut at the age of eighteen. During the winter break of the 2009/10 season he moved to Shakhtar Donetsk in Ukraine for six million euros .

At the beginning of February 2016 he moved to the Chinese club Jiangsu Suning in Nanjing for a transfer fee of 50 million euros . After his move, he scored 11 goals and 7 assists in 28 games for his new employer.
