Alessio Tacchinardi (born July 23, 1975 in Crema ) is a former Italian football player and current coach .
Career
In the club
Alessio Tacchinardi started his career in 1992 at Atalanta Bergamo and was signed by Juventus Turin in the summer of 1993 , but they decided to let him gain another year of experience at Atalanta.
Tacchinardi made his Serie A debut on January 24, 1993 against Ancona Calcio , after only nine championship games he finally moved to the Italian record champions Juventus Turin for the 1994/95 season . There he immediately gained a permanent position in the squad under coach Marcello Lippi and was a very important part of the team for years. With Juve he won numerous trophies at a young age and was able to assert himself for years against competitors such as Didier Deschamps , Paulo Sousa or Edgar Davids .
In the 2003/04 season , however, the bad luck with injuries stopped him and when in the following season Fabio Capello was coach and his favorite pupil Emerson brought with him from AS Roma , Tacchinardi lost his regular role. In July 2005 he was finally loaned to Villarreal CF in Spain. There he was able to assert himself well and surprisingly reached the semi-finals of the Champions League in his first season with this club, but where they failed at Arsenal . In the summer of 2006, the existing loan agreement was extended by one year.
Tacchinardi returned to Juventus in the summer of 2007, but his contract was terminated shortly thereafter. In July 2007 he signed a contract with Brescia Calcio in Serie B , which was dissolved the following summer.
In the national team
For the Italian national team , Alessio Tacchinardi completed a total of 13 games from 1995 to 2003.
He made his debut against Slovenia on September 6, 1995 at the age of 20 . After that, however, he was no longer used in the Squadra Azzurra for a few years . He played his remaining twelve international matches between 2000 and 2003.
As a trainer
After retiring as an active player, Tacchinardi started working as a coach and initially gained experience as a youth coach at his home club US Pergocrema , for which he worked from 2009 to 2012. The Italian filled the same position in the 2012/13 season at Brescia Calcio, before he headed the Italian fourth division US Pergolettese for the first time as coach for the first time in the 2013/14 season .
