José Bosingwa da Silva (born August 24, 1982 in Mbandaka , Zaire , now the Democratic Republic of the Congo ) is a former Portuguese football player .
Career
societies
Emerging from the youth of Boavista Porto, Bosingwa played for the second division club SC Freamunde at the age of 18 , was used eleven times and left the club at the end of the season as it was relegated to the third division. Bosingwa moved to reigning champions Boavista Porto in 2001 and was second in the championship with him in the following season. After another season and a total of 40 league games, he switched to league rivals FC Porto in 2003 , with whom he won his first championship and was able to add three more in the following period. He also won the World Cup, the Champions League, the national club cup and twice the national Supercup.
In 2008 he was signed by the English first division club Chelsea , with whom Bosingwa won two titles at the end of his first season. He made his debut on August 17, 2008 (1st matchday) in a 4-0 win at home against Portsmouth ; he scored his first goal on September 27, 2008 (6th matchday) in a 2-0 win in the away game against Stoke City .
After his contract expired, he left Chelsea on July 1, 2012 and switched to the Queens Park Rangers , with whom he signed a three-year contract until June 30, 2015.
Bosingwa moved to Trabzonspor in Turkey for the 2013/14 season .
National team
In 2003 he made his debut in the U-21 national team , for which he was used 18 times until 2004. He made his senior national team debut on June 2, 2007 in Brussels in a 2-1 win in the European Championship qualifier against Belgium .
