Juliano Haus Belletti (born June 20, 1976 in Cascavel , Paraná ) is a former Brazilian soccer player .

Career

societies

The full-back began his career at Cruzeiro Belo Horizonte , from where he moved to São Paulo FC in 1995 . In 2002, after a brief stint at Atlético Mineiro , he was transferred to Europe , to the Spanish club Villarreal .

In the 2004/05 season Belletti moved to Spanish top club FC Barcelona for 5.3 million , where he played with superstars such as Ronaldinho and Eto'o . With FC he not only won the Spanish Cup (3-0 against Betis Sevilla ), but also the 2004/05 and 2005/06 championships and the 2006 Champions League . He is considered a tough and strong right-back. In the Champions League final against Arsenal on May 17, 2006, he scored the decisive winning goal (2-1) after a one-two with Henrik Larsson.

At the beginning of the 2007/08 season, Belletti moved to Chelsea in England . On June 9, 2010 it was announced that he would be leaving the club.

In July 2010, he moved to Fluminense Rio de Janeiro in Brazil. At the end of June 2011, Juliano Belleti ended his active football career at the age of 35. Shortly before that, he had signed a contract with the Brazilian club Ceará SC , but did not play for the club due to physical problems.

National team

In the Brazilian national team he played a total of 23 times from 2001 to 2005 and scored one goal. He took part in the 2002 World Cup and was used there (in the semi-finals against Turkey).
