Oleh Kuznetsov Wolodymyrowytsch ( Ukrainian Олег Володимирович Кузнєцов , Russian Олег Владимирович Кузнецов * 22. March 1963 in Magdeburg ) is a former Soviet - Ukrainian football player and current football coach.

Kuznetsov began his football career in 1981 in Desna Chernihiv's youth team . From 1983 to 1990 he played for Dynamo Kiev , the most successful club in the Soviet Union at the time. With Dynamo, Kuznetsov was Soviet champion in 1985, 1986 and 1990, and Soviet cup winners in 1985, 1987 and 1990 . In the 1985/1986 season he and his team also won the European Cup Winners' Cup .

For the Soviet national team , Kuznetsov played 63 times (including CIS selection) and scored one goal. He participated in the 1986 and 1990 World Championships . At the European Championships in 1988 he was with the Soviet team in the final against the eventual European champions Netherlands.

In September 1990, Kuznetsov moved to Glasgow Rangers in Scotland . Already in the second game for this club he suffered a cruciate ligament tear. Although he managed to return to the first team despite his injury, he only remained a reserve player for the next few years. In 1994 Kuznetsov moved to Israel to Maccabi Haifa , after one season he returned to Ukraine and ended his professional career in 1997 with FK CSKA-Borysfen Kiev .

At the European Championships in Sweden in 1992 Kuznetsov played for the CIS team, for the Ukrainian national soccer team he played three games between 1992 and 1994.

Kuznetsov began his coaching career as an assistant coach, first at CSKA Kiev, then at Dynamo Kiev. He has been a member of the coaching staff of the Ukrainian national team for several years and also took part in the 2006 World Cup in Germany . He currently trains the Ukrainian U18 national team.
