Tomasz Rząsa [ ˈtɔmaʃ ˈʒɔ̃sa ] (born March 13, 1973 in Kraków , Poland ) is a former Polish football player .

Career

Rząsa began his career in 1992 with the Polish second division club Sokół Pniewy . In 1994 he signed with the Grasshoppers from Zurich . A season later, he moved to FC Lugano on loan . He then stayed with the Hoppers until the 1996/97 season break, before moving to the Bernese Young Boys for the rest of the season . For the 1997/98 season he moved to De Graafschap . In 1999 he moved to Feyenoord Rotterdam , with whom he became Dutch champion and winner of the Johan Cruyff Schaal in 1999 . In 2002 he won the UEFA Cup with Feyenoord . For the 2003/04 season he moved to Partizan Belgrade . A season later he went back to the Netherlands for SC Heerenveen . He has been playing for ADO Den Haag since the 2005/06 season . For the 2006/07 season he moved to the Austrian first division club SV Ried , where he was the most experienced player and one of the most experienced in the entire Austrian league thanks to his extensive international experience (World Cup tournaments, Champions League, UEFA Cup). He ended his career in 2008.

He played 28 times (1 goal) for the Polish national soccer team and took part in the 2002 World Cup.

Tomasz Rząsa is now the technical director of the Polish first division club Cracovia Krakow .
