Career
society
Peixoto began his career at the age of 19 at the lower class club Caçadores Taipas . From there he moved to Belenenses Lisbon in the capital of Portugal only 2 years later . There he scored 7 goals in 22 games and was considered a great talent, which he should confirm after moving to FC Porto in 2002. However, Peixoto did not get a regular place and came up to the winter break 2005 on 35 missions in which he hit the gate 9 times. During the last-mentioned winter break, the then 25-year-old Portuguese moved to his hometown on loan and wore the Vitória Guimarães jersey for 6 months . During that time he was a regular player, but rarely played over 90 minutes. For the 2006/07 season he was awarded again, this time to Espanyol Barcelona , where he did not receive a single use, which was also due to his injury in the form of a torn cruciate ligament . So he was no longer at his old level and moved to Sporting Braga for the 2007/2008 season , where he triumphed as a regular and spent two years successfully. When Peixoto found out that record champions SL Benfica were interested in him, he turned down a nomination for the UEFA Europa League qualifiers against IF Elfsborg and was immediately suspended. On August 7, 2009, the two clubs agreed on a transfer, and Peixoto moved to the capital as in 2001, but this time to Benfica . On January 6, 2012, he ended his contract with Benfica and signed a contract with Gil Vicente FC .
National team
César Peixoto made his debut for the national team on November 20, 2008 against the Brazilian national team when he came on for Maniche in the 84th minute to make it 5-2 .
