Alexis Ponnet

Alexis Ponnet (born March 9, 1939 in Brussels ) is a former Belgian football referee .

In the area of UEFA , Ponnet directed several finals. He was scheduled twice for the second leg final of the UEFA Cup (1979/80 and 1984/85) and the UEFA Supercup (1980 and 1982). On May 27, 1987, he was in charge of the final for the European Cup between FC Bayern Munich and FC Porto in Vienna's Prater Stadium .

Further career highlights were the game management at the finals of the 1982 World Cups in Spain (2 games) and 1986 in Mexico (1 game), as well as the finals of the European Championships in France in 1984 (1 game) and in Germany in 1988 (1 game).
